Texas Stars Playoffs in Austin

I'm sure you've all heard by now, but the Stars are going to the PLAYOFFS!!! I, uhhh, I mean the Texas Stars. In the past it didn't matter if the mini-Stars were going to the playoffs; beyond some team experience we Dallasites were unable to travel that far 9 times out of 10. However, this is a different time; this is a different team. Less than 3 hours south of Dallas the Texas Stars will be playing for the AHL cup in the first round of their playoffs - not only that but Dallas Star Jamie Benn will be headed down for the playoffs and fight with the Austin-based team!

There has been some basic interest in the game - maybe a small road trip - maybe some locals making it out. Throw me a message so I can find out how much interest there is!!!!

Stars Fanatic Scarves 2009-2010

The Stars Fanatic Rally Scarf has been delivered and we've been handing them out as quickly as we can. From shipping out to as far as Pennsylvania to handouts at the American Airline Center we've seen some great fans wearing our brand! As we gather more photos and videos we'll be sure to post them in the Have Scarf, Will Travel media gallery on our website, so keep your eyes on it. In case you missed it live on the Pre and Post game show, Craig Ludwig has been spotted sporting the look:

Celena Rae came to visit section 332 last week and brought the Ice Girls, and Burrittos! While she was their she took home a scarf and posed with J.S. Giguere, the stuffed, lynched duck!

Did I mention Ice Girls and Burrittos?

While we haven't captured a picture of him wearing this year's scarf, Bill Oellermann has been seen wearing his 2008-2009 Stars Fanatic Scarf at many of the games!

After receiving this year's scarf Bill actually reached out to me via email with a message for th Fanatics:

In case you were unaware, in the past few weeks Lord Stanley has made his way to Dallas and stopped at the AAC while in town. Thankfully someone had the smarts to swing by with our scarf and show what it would look like dressed up:

Saturday, December 5th: Wakey WAKEY, Eggs & Bakey!!!!

That's right ... BREAKFAST!!!! Saturday's game is at 1pm, nice and early in the afternoon, and we wouldn't want to miss our chance to have a tailgate ... so!!!!

We'll bring the grill, a couple dozen eggs, some bacon, and a firepit ... you bring something to drink and maybe some food if you want lunch! The fire will be warm and the conversation about the Stars so come early because we'll be there at 10am to get excited for the Stars's game hosting the Edmonton Oilers.

Also, Saturday is Ralph & Razor night (afternoon)! Celebrating multi-emmy winning announcers Ralph and Razor is easy in Dallas because, well, who doesn't love them? So put on your best suit, slick back your hair, and come join us in thanking R&R for the awesome job they do!

Hulloween, Friday October 30th

Hello Fanatics,

It's that time again. Time for a theme night!! This Friday October 30th, the fanatics will be celebrating our Halloween, or Hulloween. We hope you can join us in section 332. I know several fanatics will be in costume, including at least 3 kids. I will be if I can get my costume together. We will be decorating the section and have candy for the kids...and maybe some for us. I hope you all can make it out and help us cheer on our Stars in costume.

Last week was a great practice with a fun turnout (did you see the pictures on our wall?) but this week it's for real! The Dallas Stars open the season Saturday night against the Trashville Predators and we'll be there, loud and proud, to support!

While our normal weekend tradition is to start 3 hours before the puck drops, this week being a special SEASON OPENER we will actually start at 2pm, a solid 5 hours before the game, to allow ourselves adequate time to enjoy the ... libations :) I mean, to practice our chants, yeah, chants!

The location is the same, the attitude is crazier, the time is earlier, but the purpose is the same:
LETS GO STARS!!!!!

As usual, we supply the gril and location (darn you AAC)l, the food, drinks and chairs are your responsibility!!

Hello Fanatics,

With the start of the Stars season right around the corner, it's time for the open house. This Saturday, September 26th. the Stars will be holding an open house from 10 - 2. They will be giving away free tickets at this event, JUST FOR SHOWING UP!! After the end of this event the Fanatics will be holding our first tailgate of the year. It will start right after it ends.
