In their first year, the Texas Stars put together a good season down in Austin. The Stars had a winning season with a record of 46-27-3-4 that earned them second place in the West division in the AHL. Of course this team was full of talented prospects and players that have been in the AHL for years. But for an organization to finish second in the first year of competition is a very nice achievement.
